This week, we will be rolling out the beta version of our desktop highlight suggestion software called SOLOSHOTedit. We are incredibly stoked to be releasing this key piece of the SOLOSHOT ecosystem.
Now you can automatically film the action with SOLOSHOT3 and trim hours of video down to the most exciting clips for easy sharing to Facebook, YouTube and the SOLOSHOTapp.
Update your SOLOSHOT3
Software version 3.3.22.2 available now
To use the new SOLOSHOTedit beta desktop software, you must update your SOLOSHOT3 (Base, Tag and Camera) to the latest software (available now).
The key change in this software is the appearance of a “.session” file on your SD card in the same folder as the video from that tracking session. SOLOSHOTedit will use this session file to identify the videos associated with your tracking session, load them into SOLOSHOTedit and suggest what it thinks are the best highlights.
A couple of things to keep in mind
SOLOSHOTedit currently only works with videos recorded using the Track App. No session files are generated in the Manual Control App or Motion Time Lapse App and the corresponding videos and photos cannot currently be imported into SOLOSHOTedit.
We have decided to release the beta version of this program to everyone in order to help us make the algorithms and interface better as fast as possible. Our highlight finding software has been working great for some applications like soccer and surf, while activities like equestrian and kiteboarding need more work and, most importantly more feedback. So, thank you in advance for diving into the future with us as we continue to work to increase the speed at which we bring you the awesome.
