Frequently Asked Questions

Can you track multiple tags at once?

Yes! SOLOSHOT offers multi-mode, which lets a single base station track multiple tags. With automatic multi-mode, you can tell the Base to follow either the closest Tag, fastest Tag, toggle between tags or even a group of Tags on the Base. Using manual multi-mode, you can have one person be in charge of which linked Tag the Base follows at any given time using the Director + Coach Mode in the SOLOSHOTapp.

Does it work for capturing photos as well as videos?

Absolutely! Both the Optic25 and the Optic65 can take stills of 12 MP. The still image sizes of both are 4000H x 3000W and are saved as JPEG files. SoloShot can also be set-up to for Time Lapses, with intervals that can be customized from 1 - 3600 seconds. You can choose from automatic exposure, or customize it up to 10 minutes with our manual exposure option.

How do I edit my footage?

With SOLOSHOT, you’ll upload your video or photographs from it’s SD card to the editing program of your choice. It’s just like any footage captured from your phone, other cameras or camcorders.

Coming soon SOLOSHOT will launch SOLOSHOTedit which will make slicing and dicing your SOLOSHOT videos even easier. SOLOSHOTedit will suggest highlights based on your activity so you can quickly find the good stuff you care about. How long does the battery take to charge?

SOLOSHOT3 takes about 3-4 hours to fully charge. We recommend using a Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 Wall Adapter for best results. If your battery is not charging in this time, it could be because the charger is now powerful enough. Try the Qualcomm Adapter for best results.

When fully charged, the SOLOSHOT3 system lasts between 2-3 hours with typical use cases. Please note that livestreaming and 4K resolution will use more battery power.

What kind of SD card do I need for my SOLOSHOT?

Both OpticX Cameras utilize microSD cards for media storage.
These are sold separately.

Sandisk or Lexar are preferable to us, however we can recommend the following cards:
