OpticX cameras enter IQ & SOLOSHOTcloud beta API complete

We're excited to share some updates about your SOLOSHOT3.

OPTICX Cameras

Optic65 prototypes have now entered the Image Quality (IQ) tuning phase as we bring up 4k30 and 1080p60 video modes! Both 1080p120 and 720p240 will be released as free firmware upgrades post-shipping.

Optic25 cameras will ship with 1080p60 followed by a free firmware upgrade for 720p120 post-shipping.

Both Optic25 and Optic65 zoom lenses are built with high quality, multi-element, large-diameter glass combined with a 12MP Sony Image Sensor and best-in-class Ambarella Image Signal Processing System on a Chip (SoC). We are confident our imaging will be absolutely beautiful and cannot wait to share sample footage with you in the coming weeks.

The SOLOSHOTedit desktop software is shown pulling SOLOSHOT2 highlights from 40 minutes of video - over 8 gigabytes of footage! The desktop program can be used for auto editing video captured when using both SOLOSHOT2 and SOLOSHOT3 with compatible cameras (including our OpticX cameras, of course).

SOLOSHOT3 + OpticX users can skip the desktop application, if preferred, because your Base has direct access to your OpticX camera's SD card to automatically push highlights to your SOLOSHOTcloud account. Once in the cloud, you will be able to access and edit your highlights using our web and/or mobile editing interface based on the desktop editor shown above.

Our SOLOSHOTcloud beta API (Application Program Interface) is now finished, allowing SOLOSHOT customers to create a unique account that is accessible from all SOLOSHOT desktop, mobile and web applications! We have successfully posted clips directly from SOLOSHOTedit to our linked YouTube & Facebook accounts and the experience is quick and seamless. There are so many additional software opportunities for automation and improvement that we just can't wait to share with you.

Shipping Update
The SOLOSHOT Team just returned from Taiwan where we are bringing up our world class, Tier-1 manufacturing partners for the Optic65, Optic25, and Base & Tag systems. Early progress looks great, however, our updated shipping expectation is now summer. We need a little more time to make sure your SOLOSHOT3 is rock solid when it ships, since we're integrating all the manufacturing knowledge we gained from building SOLOSHOTs 1&2 ourselves with the high quality, high volume processes of our awesome new partners. These Process and Design Validation Phases are critical to continue delivering quality to our customers at scale.

We will keep you informed as we move through each of these key manufacturing stages and look forward to sharing more photos and videos as our SOLOSHOT3 hardware and software comes to life.

We sincerely appreciate all of your continued support and patience as our engineering team works around the clock to bring SOLOSHOT3 to your doorstep. We could never have made it without the support and confidence of our loyal, early adopting customers. We believe more strongly than ever that your SOLOSHOT3 pre-order will be one of the best investments of your life!

We love hearing from you so please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions or concerns.
